About UgandaGorillaTrekking.tours
This site is a small independent catalogue of Uganda gorilla trekking tours: one-day trips from Kigali, two- and three-day trips into Bwindi and Mgahinga, longer safaris that add Kibale's chimpanzees, and the gorilla habituation experience. Each tour has its own page, and the guides answer the permit, park and planning questions.
Why the catalogue exists
Two gorilla tours can look $1,500 apart and cost almost the same. The difference is the gorilla permit: Uganda Wildlife Authority charges $800 for it, some listings include it and others leave it to you. This site reads every listing for that line and shows the price you actually pay with the permit added.
What gets read on every listing
The price and what it buys, whether the gorilla permit is inside it, the park and sector, the start city, the nights and lodges, meals, the group, age rules and the cancellation terms. Ratings and review counts are the platforms' own figures. Permit fees, park rules and road distances come from the Uganda Wildlife Authority, and the Rwanda permit from the Rwanda Development Board.
Where a listing says nothing, the page says so too.
How we work
We compare tour listings, official park information and recent traveller feedback. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, sell permits or take payments, and we have not been paid to rank any tour. The editorial pick is the listing that gives a first-time trekker the most of what they come for, with a clean review record behind it.
Corrections
If a price, a permit line or an itinerary has changed, please tell us on the contact page and the listing gets corrected.
